Operating contract
NX-Cloud is the hosted monitoring authority for PrecisionDCMS. It owns the complete hosted monitoring, alarm, data, customer and workflow layer in Field + NX-Cloud and NX-Cloud Only deployments, and it can also federate selected state from local NX nodes as a portfolio view. It is the preferred hosted authority for Field-connected production sites — not merely a federation plane layered on top of local NX. Identity, time, quality, authority and evidence travel with every value this component handles, so the behavior stays predictable across the estate.

- NX-Cloud owns hosted authority in Field + NX-Cloud and NX-Cloud Only; in federated local-NX deployments the authoritative site record stays with each NX.
- In Field + NX-Cloud, a hosted-plane disruption is covered by the Field continuity subset and buffering; local protective and equipment functions remain independent.
- Local protective and life-safety functions are never gated by NX-Cloud availability.
