When the primary path is impaired, the out-of-band network is how a site is recovered. It spans the site operations gateway/uCPE, console servers, BMC/iDRAC/iLO management, network management, private ZTNA/VPN, cellular resilience, a secondary ISP, local DNS and time, configuration backup, break-glass access, and power and upstream-path monitoring — engineered so recovery never depends on the system being recovered.
